What Information We Collect
Local Data (Stored on Your Device)
The following data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted anywhere unless you choose to enable cloud sync:
- Website URLs visited: Used solely to track time spent on websites and determine if a site should be blocked according to your preferences.
- Time tracking data: Daily time spent on websites, session durations, and historical usage patterns.
- Blocked websites list: The list of websites you choose to block, configured entirely by you.
- App preferences and settings: Your daily time limits, blocking preferences, and extension configuration options.
- Gamification data: Your achievements, streak counts, points, and progress statistics used for motivation and goal tracking.
Account Data (Optional)
If you choose to create an account for cloud sync, we collect:
- Email address: Used for account login and authentication. No marketing emails are sent.
- Encrypted authentication tokens: Securely stored to maintain your login session and sync data across devices.
- Synced usage data: Your time tracking data, achievements, and preferences, encrypted and stored in our secure database.

Local-First Architecture
All core functionality works entirely offline using Chrome's secure local storage. Your data stays on your device by default.
Secure Cloud Storage
If you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted and stored using Supabase, a secure backend-as-a-service provider with enterprise-grade security and compliance certifications.
Authentication Security
User passwords are handled securely through Supabase's authentication system using industry-standard encryption and security practices.
Data Encryption
All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and sensitive data is encrypted at rest.

What We Don't Use
Brain Saver does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, or any other third-party tracking services. We believe in respecting your privacy completely.
Your Rights and Control

You have full control over which websites to block, your daily time limits, and whether to create an account.
Data Access
View all your stored data through the extension's interface, including time tracking history and achievements.
Data Deletion
Delete your account and all associated data at any time through the extension settings or by contacting us.
Easy Uninstall
Uninstall the extension at any time to remove all local data from your device.
Data Retention
Local Data
Remains on your device until you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.
Cloud Data
If you create an account, data is retained until you delete your account or request data deletion.
Account Deletion
When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
Brain Saver does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. The service is intended for general productivity use and does not target children specifically. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
